CHICAGO, IL AND KINGSTON, JM / ACCESS Newswire / December 8, 2025 / Rare Earth Advisors, LLC ("REA") today announced the appointment of Brigadier General (Ret.) John Adams as Strategic Policy Director, strengthening REA's government engagement and industrial-base strategy for the Jamaica Rare Earth Project (JamREP).

A former Army aviator and intelligence officer, General Adams brings three decades of experience aligning national-security priorities with industrial execution. He is recognized for expertise in the defense industrial base and critical minerals, including rare earth elements, with practical insights into recovering value from bauxite-residue streams while advancing environmental remediation.

"General Adams adds immediate depth to our policy, partnerships, and execution," said Andrew Wyatt, Founder & CEO of REA. "His credibility with U.S. and allied institutions will help translate JamREP's technical promise into resilient, responsible supply chains for Jamaica and the United States."

General Adams retired from the U.S. Army in 2007. His final post was Deputy U.S. Military Representative to NATO's Military Committee in Brussels. On September 11, 2001, while in the Office of the Secretary of Defense as Deputy Director for European Policy, he supported disaster-recovery efforts at the Pentagon and coordinated international support for the U.S. response. He previously served in Operation Desert Storm and Operation Guardian Assistance (Rwanda), with additional missions across the Balkans, Iraq, and Afghanistan, and attaché tours in Belgium, Rwanda, Croatia, and South Korea.

An author and educator, he wrote Remaking American Security (2013) and continues to brief and testify on industrial-base resilience and rare earths. He holds master's degrees from Boston University, the University of Massachusetts, and the U.S. Army War College.

"Critical minerals strategy is national-security strategy," said Gen. Adams. "JamREP's model-responsible recovery from bauxite residue paired with environmental remediation and allied collaboration-can deliver real results for communities, industry, and our shared security."
