Entrepreneur and mother urges families to rebuild balance through nature, simple habits, and service

NEWPORT BEACH, CA / ACCESS Newswire / December 8, 2025 / Lesley Beador is encouraging families and individuals to reconnect with nature, support local communities, and build healthier routines in daily life. Drawing on her years spent outdoors in Lake Tahoe and her volunteer work with Meals on Wheels, she is raising awareness around the need for simple, steady habits that improve well being for people of all ages.

"People think they need big changes to feel better," Beador said. "Most of the time, success starts with small choices like walking outside, spending time with your kids, or helping someone who needs support. These are things anyone can do."

Research continues to show that time outdoors reduces stress, boosts focus, and improves long term health. Studies from the National Park Service report that even two hours per week in nature can lower anxiety and increase overall happiness. Beador's own routine reflects this idea. She grew up near Lake Tahoe and still spends much of her time exploring the mountains of Utah and Montana. "Nature has been my reset button since I was a kid," she said. "I want more people to experience that same grounding."

Beador also highlighted the importance of community service. Meals on Wheels reports that nearly 2.4 million older Americans lack reliable access to nutritious food. Volunteers play a critical role in reducing loneliness and food insecurity. "Delivering meals is not complicated," she said. "It is one hour of your week, but it can change someone else's day."

Her message focuses on what people can do without waiting for the perfect moment. She encourages families to create simple outdoor rituals, such as weekend hikes or evening walks. She also recommends small acts of support in local communities, from checking on neighbors to donating time to local food programs.

"As a mother and someone building a skincare line, I know how busy life gets," Beador said. "Balance does not come from trying to do everything. It comes from protecting the things that matter, like time outdoors, time with family, and time spent helping others."

Beador invites individuals and families to make three small changes this month:

  1. Spend at least two hours outside each week.

  2. Choose one local volunteer opportunity and try it once.

  3. Protect one daily routine that brings calm, such as stretching, a short walk, or creative time with kids.

"These small steps build healthier homes and healthier communities," Beador said. "You do not need a perfect plan. You just need to start."
