MARIETTA, GA — Johnson Ferry Baptist Church invites the community to celebrate Christmas through a series of special services and events designed to help families focus on Jesus Christ during the Advent season. The church will host six candlelit Christmas Eve services, along with additional worship nights and memorial services throughout December.
"We are intentionally celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as one church body," said Dr. Clay Smith, Senior Pastor of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church. "We want to provide opportunities for our community to pause during this busy season and keep their focus on King Jesus, who brings us hope, joy, peace, and love."
Christmas Eve Services
Johnson Ferry will offer six Christmas Eve services across two days to accommodate families' schedules:
Tuesday, December 23: 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM
Wednesday, December 24: 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM (Sensory Friendly Service), and 5:00 PM
Childcare is available for Christmas Eve services by registration.
Additional Advent Events
Christmas Memorial Service: Thursday, December 11 at 7:00 PM. A special time of comfort, hope, and encouragement for those who have lost family members in the past year.
Advent Night of Worship: Saturday, December 13 at 6:00 PM and Sunday, December 14 at 6:00 PM. A special night of worship celebrating God's faithfulness throughout the year. Childcare available by registration.
The church is also offering a free Advent devotional written by ministerial staff, available in digital format to help families walk intentionally through the Christmas season with daily Scripture, reflection, and practical encouragement.
