High School Students Learn About HVAC Careers at Daikin

Tukwila, United States - December 21, 2025 / Daikin Seattle Experience Center /

The Daikin Seattle Experience Center was delighted to host 24 students from Raisbeck Aviation High School for an interactive introduction to career opportunities in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) sector. This exceptional educational initiative was organized at the request of the City of Tukwila's Inclusion and Engagement Manager, who aimed to provide local students with a chance to explore the diverse prospects available within the HVAC industry.

Following the initial outreach, the team at the Daikin Seattle Experience Center worked closely with Career Specialists from Highline Public Schools to ensure the visit would be impactful and relevant to the students' interests. Before the event, the Career Specialists toured the showroom to assess its suitability for an educational field trip-and the venue surpassed expectations, presenting an ideal setting for engaging learning experiences.

On December 10th, the students arrived for a comprehensive program crafted to immerse them in the world of Daikin and the advancements within the HVAC industry, which included state-of-the-art technologies, sustainability-driven engineering, and the various professional roles that contribute to this vital field.

The event commenced with a guided tour of the Daikin Seattle Experience Center. Students had the opportunity to explore innovative HVAC systems, learn about energy-efficient solutions that are shaping the future of the industry, and understand how Daikin's global leadership translates into practical applications.

To enhance the experience, students were divided into small groups of five to take part in rotating breakout sessions with members of the Thermal Supply team, who represented key sectors within the HVAC profession. These included:

  • Company President

  • Operations Manager

  • Marketing Director

  • Sales Manager

  • Technical Service Manager

During these sessions, each leader provided students with a behind-the-scenes glimpse into their daily tasks, personal career paths, and the variety of opportunities present within their specialty areas. The students gained insights into both technical and non-technical career trajectories-broadening their understanding of the HVAC field's scope and accessibility.

"We were excited to host such an inquisitive and engaged group of students," remarked the Daikin Seattle Experience Center team. "Supporting the next generation of industry professionals is a core aspect of our mission. Experiences like this enable young individuals to uncover the numerous career options in HVAC, ranging from engineering and technology to operations, business, and customer service."

The Daikin Seattle Experience Center eagerly anticipates ongoing collaboration with local schools, community programs, and workforce development initiatives to inspire and empower future talent.
