SheRocks Foundation to Host Free International Women's Day Music Festival in Brazil
SheRocks Foundation, a global nonprofit empowering women through culture, music and innovation, will launch its first Brazil edition of the “SheRocks Music & Arts Festival” on March 8 in celebration of International Women’s Day in partnership with WICE (The World Institute for Conservation and Environment), GTS Brasil (UMG) and UMusic Hotels.
The free public event will take place from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Audio in São Paulo and feature performances by Duda Beat, Day Limns, Budah, and Tasha & Tracie - artists representing the diversity and influence of Brazil’s contemporary music scene.
The expansion marks a significant milestone for the Foundation’s international movement to close gender gaps in the creative economy by creating platforms for visibility, collaboration and sustainable opportunity.
“SheRocks is about shifting who gets seen, funded and heard,” said Emily Weeks, Founder of SheRocks Foundation. “When women are centered in culture and innovation, the ripple effects reach families, industries and communities. Launching in Brazil on International Women’s Day reflects our commitment to advancing women’s leadership on a global scale.”
Empowering Women Through Culture, Music and Innovation
SheRocks Foundation is a dynamic nonprofit organization managed by WICE, a global organization providing technical, policy, and implementation support at the intersection of conservation, sustainable development, and investment. Through SheRocks and other initiatives, WICE is working to harness the power of music and culture to bridge the gender gap and create sustainable solutions for communities facing some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Its mission is to create an inclusive and supportive environment where women can thrive, express their creativity and achieve their professional goals.
By expanding access to major cultural platforms, SheRocks Foundation aligns with priorities outlined by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including gender equality, reduced inequalities, inclusive economic growth, and responsible stewardship of natural resources in support of sustainable communities and environmental resilience.
General admission will be free, with ticket reservations opening March 6 at 12 p.m. via Sympla. The event also serves as a fundraiser, supporting SheRocks Foundation’s programs to advance women globally.
